Week of January 16, 2017

Gosh, I love my job! Here's what we've been up to this week.

We get to work learning first thing every morning.

Magnets stick to our whiteboard!

We cut out a HUGE letter W.

We tore white paper to create snow.

We glued the snow on the W.

This week we learned about liquids, gas, and solids.

Some of our toys floated in water (liquid) and some sank.

We popped bubbles full of air (gas).

We felt solid water...ice. It was cold!

We added the ice to our snow. This is an "ice cave".

We put colored dots out and jumped on them.

We stated the color when we landed on them.

We colored with chalk on our new chalkboard easels.

We made snowflakes.

We painted them white, our color of the month.

Our awesome snowflakes!

Our snowflakes look great on the bulletin board!

We cut and painted stars, our shape of the month.

Our awesome stars!

We cut letter W watermelon slices.

We added seeds and glued them together.

Our awesome watermelon slices! Yummy!

I love finding evidence that student scientists have been at work.

Magnetism is amazing!

I caught these three scientists at work.
"This one looks like the letter W!"
We draw with chalk.

We build houses.

We work with playdough.

We draw and write in our journals.
