Jack-o-Lanterns, Horizontal, Vertical, Mummies, Spiders, and the Letter "J"

We created mummies by putting tissue paper horizontally on our shapes.

Our Halloween door is awesome! 

We created letter "J" art by gluing letter "J" objects on to letter "J" paper.
We practiced the letter "J" sound this week.

We created "Five Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate"!
We created gates by putting craft sticks on vertically and horizontally.
We stamped five pumpkins on top of our gates.
We each created our own larger jack-o-lantern.
We had fun counting!

We created a spider web by rolling a marble around on white paint.

We drew vertical lines on paper creating a thread of web for spiders.

Monsters, Symmetry, and the letter "M"

We've created monsters!  They're scary...and they're symmetrical.  We painted paper, folded it, mashed it, opened it, and the next day we decorated it.  We were very careful to try to make both sides look the same.

We created letter "M" art by placing letter "M" words on letter "M" paper.

We practiced the letter "M" sound.  Mmmmmmmmmm....

Orange, Squares, Letter "P", and Pumpkins

We mixed red and yellow together to make orange.

It's so much fun making a new color!

We are learning about the square shape.

We are learning about the letter "P".

We cut pumpkin shapes out of the orange paper we painted.
We twisted green paper to make a vine.

Sizes, Tree Home, and Letter "R"

We painted three boxes brown.
We added oatmeal to the paint to give it texture.

The boxes were small, medium, and large.

We read "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".
We learned about small, medium, and large/big.
We created art based on the story.

We created letter "R" art.

Our small, medium, and large boxes became a tree!
The animals have already moved in!!!

Raccoon starts with the letter "R".
