Swimmy, Ocean Life, and More!

This will be my final blog post for this school year.  Thank you so much for taking the time to look at it and use it to support your child's learning.  I love blogging about all of our fun and adventures!

Here's how we wrapped up this week.

I read the book "Swimmy" on Wednesday and
on Thursday we used toys to act out the story.

More Swimmy!

"It's a G."

We loved the story about "Swimmy".

A Caterpillar

"It's a Q."

The suction blocks stick to the cabinet door!

They stick to the bottom of the transportation links, too!

We wore color of the month, blue, glasses!

We created more ocean paper.

Jump, jump, jumping!

We're turning our Home Center into an ocean next week.
Be sure to check out how we used this amazing paper!

Our small ocean scenes are awesome!
Check them out on the hallway bulletin board.

Letters, Teamwork, Ocean Life, and More!

What a great week we're having!

We matched capital letters with lower case letters.

We added sand and seaweed to our small ocean scenes.

More Letter Matching

We worked with large links.

More Letter Matching

We worked with the little people characters, blocks, and circles.
We pretended they were having Circle Time.

Tower Construction

We matched occupations with the things they use in their jobs.

Fun with Duplos and our farm set.

It's fun to pretend we're the teacher, read a book to a friend,
and then ask them comprehension questions.

We created art with shaving cream.
We also made shapes and letters!

Duplos and the Farm Set

Three crabs crab walked around the bins.

Teamwork!

We have so much fun during Center Time with our friends!

We cut out small pictures of sea animals to go on our small ocean scenes.

They're looking great!  We've got more to add later this week.

The Ocean, Mixing Yellow and Green, Summer, and More!

We've had another fabulous week!

Our Fabulous Ocean Bulletin Board
We laced letters together.

We worked with fish on ponds.
Some of the fish were rough.
Some were smooth.
We also had fun counting them.

We practiced buttoning.

We mixed blue and yellow paint to make green.
We've got big plans for this green paper we're making!

We drew pictures with scented markers.

More Letter Lacing

We worked with alphabet picture cards.

We're almost finished with the green.

We created structures for sitting in and sitting on.

This is evidence of a super fun day in PPCD!

We found an egg at the playground.

The ducks went for rides on the dolphins.

We cut leaf shapes out of the green paper we made.
We made summer tree leaves.

Creation Station!

We needed a lot of leaves for our classroom tree.

Dolphins showed up in the Science Center!

We practiced writing letter "O" words.

It's fun to build a tower with a friend.

Our classroom tree looks very summery!
