Our Story Book Pig, Orange, Letter "H", Jack-o-Lanterns, and More

What a wonderful week!
Be sure to check out our classroom door next week...it promises to be spooky!

We love taking turns being the song helper.

"Orange" is our song this month.

For our story book pumpkin we're creating
a house made of sticks.

We took turns gluing sticks on the house.

When the mirror was moved it left a fun spot to hang out in.

When we're using the tunnel we talk a lot about the
words "through" and "in".

We put sand in the top and watch it go
down to the bottom.

Our story book pig turned out great! It
will be in the library all next week if you want to visit it!
Each of the Pre-K classes made a pig, too.

We created letter "H" art by gluing letter "H"
objects on letter "H" paper.

We colored in a letter "H" heart.

We practiced the letter "H" sound every time we requested
one of the objects.

We are learning to color inside.

We created a HUGE class jack-o-lantern!
We talked about how the eyes go at the
top, the nose in the middle, and the mouth
at the bottom. We took turns cutting the
shapes and gluing them onto the pumpkin.
Check out our classroom door...that's
where it is!
We constructed a train.

We paid very close attention to a lesson on letters.

We created mummies by gluing tissue paper
strips on horizontally. We also added two eyes.

We talked about how horizontal means going
across the paper from side to side.

We covered the entire mummy!

On a rainy day we brought the outside in.
We played with the tunnel.

We rode a tricycle.

The rain didn't bother us at all!

We created ghosts from the white handprints we made last week.
We added eyes and a mouth. "BOO!!!"

We loved creating our mummies.

And here they are...all together!
