Construction Trucks, Triangles, and Winter Scenes

What fun we had this week!

We worked with nesting blocks.

 We played with construction trucks AND put a construction truck puzzle together.

We created triangle collages.  We love triangles!  It's our shape of the month!

We created winter scenes.

It was super fun creating the snowy background.

Here we are waiting to go in the cafeteria to sing "Rudolph" with our Pre-K friends.

The whole school was there.  Each grade level sang different songs.

We did a great job!

Rudolph, Jingles, and More!

We had a great week!

We created reindeer headbands by painting sentence strips with red and green paint.

We created antlers by tracing our hands and cutting the hand shapes out.

We participated in the Jingle Jog!

Every student at Zilker ran around the track while jingling their bells.

We loved this school-wide fitness event!

 

"Baby Fish" is one of our favorite songs to dance to!

What a great start to our week!

We put together a castle puzzle AND played with castle blocks!

Puzzle Team Celebrating

It's so much fun to build amazing structures with magnet blocks.

There's nothing better than practicing the alphabet with a friend.

We painted pine trees with green, our color of the month.

We love playing with our bag of green objects.

We painted stars blue.  These stars were made using two triangles.

Our stars look awesome!

We decided to do an experiment.  Everyone filled balloons with water.  We put the balloons outside when it was predicted to freeze.  Well, it didn't freeze.  So, we decided to put them in the classroom freezer.  The next morning look what we found when we opened the balloons!  Yes, when water is frozen, it becomes ice!

"It's slippery!"

"It's cold!"

At the end of the day, we observed that the ice had all melted.

 

We ended the day with some shaving cream fun.  We practiced shapes, letters, and numbers.

Foxes, Fun, and "F"

What a great week we've had!

We drew and wrote on dry erase boards.

We erased them when we were finished.

 

We created foxes with the letter "F" project we did earlier this week.

These foxes are fabulous!

 

We created headbands using watercolors.

We practiced the letter "F" sound.

Luminarias, Puzzles, and the Letter "F"

We've had a great week so far!

 

We decorated paper bags.

These will be luminarias for the Zilker  Holiday Sing-a-Long.

We love working together on puzzles!

because we used so much glue!

Fall, Diamonds, and Fun Friday!

What a fun week we've had!

We gathered fall leaves outside.

We traced our arm and hand to create a tree.

We wrote "FALL TREE".

We glued the fall leaves we found on to our trees!

We decorated diamonds, our shape of the month.

We glued diamonds (our shape of the month) on to brown (our color of the month) paper.

 It was so much fun pulling the bus we made way

back in September back out to play in today!

 It's so much fun playing with cars on Fun Friday!

The Letter "F", Fall, and Friends!

Here's what we've been up to so far this week! 

We're talking all about fall and its fabulous colors.

We used our hands to paint a HUGE piece of brown paper

with orange, red, yellow and brown.

Fall is a fabulous letter "F" word!

 

We did it on little paper, too!

 

We found sticks outside and painted them with fall colors and glued feathers on them.

We love working on the letter "F"!

 

We had fun painting with water colors during morning centers.

 

"I did this puzzle all by myself!"

 

Friends!

 

It's so wonderful having the best of friends to play with at our fabulous playground.

"Friend" is one of our favorite letter "F" words!

 

Everyone took turns cutting leaf shapes out of that HUGE piece of paper we painted on Monday.

 

Everyone chose where they wanted their leaves to go on our classroom tree.

It looks like Fall!

 

Our fall colored sticks with feathers dried!

 

Everyone glued one of their fall leaves on a piece of paper and 

practiced their writing by writing the word "FALL"!

It was a short week, but a great one!
